London Flat Fire – 4 year old little girl rescued by London Fire Brigade.

London Fire Brigade reported on their incident page that Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued a four year old girl from a flat fire in Bethnal Green.

A woman who had escaped from the blaze, along with two children, met fire crews arriving on scene. She told crews that her young daughter was still inside the flat so they immediately entered the property and rescued the girl.

The flat on the third floor was badly damaged by the blaze and made uninhabitable. Around 20 people evacuated the property before the arrival of the Brigade. To read more click here.

London Fire Brigade reported that 4 firefighters and officers attended a small fire in the grounds of a nursing home on John William Close in Brockley London. A man was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service and sadly, he later died. The incident is under investigation.

Electrical Fire in Charles Dickens former offices in Covent Garden London

London Fire Brigade reported that a small electrical fire hit a café, which used to be the offices of Charles Dickens’ weekly magazine on Wellington Street in Covent Garden. The alarm was raised by an occupant of the flats above the shop noticing smoke in their communal stairwell. Smoke was coming from a unit in the basement and a member of staff tackled it using a foam extinguisher. Thankfully there were no injuries.
