London Fire Risk Assessments advice to customers: We don’t know the cause of the Fire that is still under investigation but what we do know is both the Residential Flats and the Shop should have their own Fire Risk Assessment. As part of the Co-operation and Co-ordination of the FRA’s both parties should be discussing how one area could affect the other and what they need to do to minimise the risk (If the FRA’s are suitable and sufficient they will outline the requirements.) If you find yourself living above a shop you need to check out both your own FRA and the one for the commercials premise.
