London Fire Brigade reported that 4 firefighters and officers attended a small fire in the grounds of a nursing home on John William Close in Brockley London. A man was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service and sadly, he later died. The incident is under investigation.

London Fire Risk Assessments advice to customers: All responsible Care Homes should have a suitable and sufficient Fire Risk Assessment. Included in the Fire Risk Assessment will be a Fire Safety Emergency Plan for the premise – this will be either a ‘Stay Put’ or ‘Get Out’ policy.
