The Responsible Person of the premises must check what their Fire Safety Risk Assessment says about the use of Patio Heaters as they are an ignition source. It is imperative that you follow the advice of your Fire Safety Risk Assessment because if you don’t and the worst happens you may have a problem with your insurance company!
If your Fire Risk Assessment is not up to date or you don’t have one now is the time to act – Pubs, Clubs and Restaurants must have a fully compliant Fire Safety Risk Assessment as required by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. It is the law!
